Under Armour, the worldwide leader in making athletes better through passion, science and the relentless pursuit of innovation, has partnered with CATZ, Competitive Athlete Training Zone, to develop the global measurement standard for improved sports performance, health and fitness:
THE UNDER ARMOUR COMBINE 360-ATHLETE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
The Combine 360 is the most extensive and complete evaluation of an individual’s true athletic potential.
Combine 360 will measure and record general and sport specific athletic ability, mental aptitude, nutritional level, ability to communicate and a variety of other performance disciplines to allow athletes of all abilities from across the world to compare their scores.
Each athlete will be evaluated in 3 main areas:
1. Athleticism
2. Movement
3. Character
ATHLETICISM: There will be 9 measurements of FOUNDATIONAL ATHLETICISM geared towards assessing the common elements of athleticism in all sports.
MOVEMENT: There will be 3 SPORT-SPECIFIC MOVEMENT skills tests, 3 INTEGRATIVE MOVEMENT measurements of balance and posture and a VISUAL ABILITY analysis of the 6 main movements of the eye that affect hand-eye coordination, quick reactions and the ability to see and swiftly process information.
CHARACTER: a basic assessment, through self-report, on the nutritional choices an athlete makes, their perspective on their mentality, and how well they communicate with others.
